Some of our favorite things to do in St. George are spending time at the local parks, going on a hike or mountain bike ride at Sand Hollow State Park, and visiting Coral Canyon Golf Course for a round of 18 holes. The golfing scene in St. George is fantastic and Coral Canyon is one of the most popular courses in town.
In addition to all these fun-filled activities, don’t forget about the amazing food scene! There are so many delicious restaurants in St. George, making it a great place to visit if you love trying new places to eat.
2. Cedar City, Utah
If you’re looking for a slightly smaller city to visit near Zion National Park, Cedar City is another great option. It’s located about an hour away from the park and has a lot to offer.
In addition, if you’re looking for some fun outdoor activities in Cedar City, then check out Brian Head Resort. This ski resort also has other activities like zip-lining, hiking trails, and mountain biking! Plus, it’s only a 45-minute drive from Zion National Park, making it a great place to visit during the day.
Looking for other things to do in Cedar City during the summertime? Then check out the famous Utah Shakespeare Festival. This gorgeous outdoor theater hosts plays and other performances from June to September. It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors and take in some culture at one of America’s oldest theater festivals.
3. Springdale, UT
Another great area outside of Zion National Park is Springdale. This cute little town right outside of the park is a great place to visit if you want to spend more time in the park by not traveling too far.
Some things we love about Springdale are the proximity to Zion National Park, checking out the local shops and restaurants, riding bikes along the Virgin River trail, and hiking one of Zion’s many trails.
In addition, if you’re looking to get out of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet, then head over to our resort. It’s a perfect place to spend the night if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
4. Las Vegas, NV
For those of you who are looking for something fun to do and don’t mind driving a little bit of a distance, then Las Vegas is a perfect choice! It’s about a four-hour drive away, but has so many fun things to do.
Some of our favorite things about Las Vegas are visiting the Grand Canyon, checking out Fremont Street in downtown, and taking a day trip to explore Death Valley.
Las Vegas is another great place to visit if you love trying out new restaurants. There are so many delicious places in the city, making it a perfect place to visit if you’re a foodie.
In addition, don’t forget about the famous Las Vegas Strip! There are so many fun things to do on the strip from visiting some of the casinos, taking a gondola ride and visiting the Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, and spending a day at one of Las Vegas’ many pools.
Las Vegas is a great place to visit if you enjoy trying new things and taking in the local culture.
5. Moab, UT
Another city in Utah that’s great to visit near Zion National Park is Moab. This small town has a lot of character and offers some great outdoor activities for those who love exploring nature.
For those of you looking for some fun things to do in Moab, then check out Arches National Park and Canyonlands! These are two nearby national parks that offer some amazing views of red rocks. There are a lot of fun trails to explore, and you can even go backpacking or camping if you’re interested in spending more time exploring the parks.
In addition, Moab offers some great opportunities for ATV tours or jeep tours. There are a few companies in the area that offer fun excursions around Moab and there are even some companies that lead you to nearby national parks. These tours are a great way to experience the natural beauty of Utah and get an inside look at the area.
