Zion Glamping vs Private Bungalows: Which is Right for You?

by | Jan 19, 2023

At Zion Wildflower Resort, we offer a variety of lodging options for guests to choose from. Our Zion glamping tents and covered wagons are perhaps the most unique! These are perfect for those who want to experience a camping adventure, while still enjoying the comforts and amenities of a resort hotel room. For those looking for an added dose of luxury, we also offer private cabins and bungalows.

Is a Zion glamping adventure or private bungalow the right choice for your next stay at Zion Wildflower? Keep reading as we take a look at both options to help you make your decision.

Zion Glamping

A Zion glamping adventure might just be the most unique lodging option Southern Utah has to offer! Enjoy the experience of drifting off to sleep in the desert, with just a tent between you and a stunning sky full of stars. But you’ll still enjoy the comforts and amenities of a luxury hotel room, including plush beds, air conditioning, and more.

At Zion Wildflower Resort, we have several Zion glamping options to choose from.

Watchman Tents

Our Watchman tents are a classic Zion glamping experience. These single-pole canvas tents are surrounded by a handcrafted wooden deck. Open your tent flaps to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding desert. Each tent is positioned so that you can enjoy a perfect sunset.

To get to your Zion glamping tent, you’ll take a stroll down a lit path, where you’ll find your home away from home surrounded by cacti and wild sage. The tents have a rustic feel on the outside. But inside, you’ll find plush beds, soft rugs, cooling units, outlet ports, and more to help you enjoy a comfortable stay. On the deck, a rocking chair and lanterns are available to allow you to enjoy a relaxing evening or do some stargazing.

Grand Mesa Tents

The Grand Mesa tents at Zion Wildflower Resort are the ultimate luxury glamping experience. While these may look like tents from the outside, step inside and you’ll find a stunning, state-of-the-art dwelling that rivals a resort hotel room. These tents were handcrafted in South Africa, and designed to insulate our guests from the cold and to stay cool in Southern Utah’s summer heat.

Each of our glamorous Grand Mesa tents features feathertop beds, modern en-suite bathrooms, and air conditioning to help you stay cool and comfortable during your glamping adventure. You’ll enter your tent from a private deck—the perfect spot to pause and take in a stunning sunset and the red rock cliffs that surround you.

There are four different Grand Mesa tent layouts to choose from. They include a single King bed, one King bed with a twin-size bunk bed and a twin-size pull-out bed, one King bed with a LoveSac Queen-size pull-out bed, and a Grand Mesa tent with two Queen-size beds.

Covered Wagons

The most unique of our Zion glamping options are our Covered Wagons. Handcrafted in the U.S., these wagons look just like those that early pioneers used to cross the country. Inside, you’ll find a King-size bed and the option for one or two sets of bunk beds.

While they do harken to days past, inside these wagons you’ll find many of the same luxuries of our other Zion glamping options. Enjoy our plush beds, air-conditioning or heat, indoor lighting, and outlets to charge your devices.

Private Bungalows

Another lodging option available at Zion Wildflower Resort is our private Bungalows. These airy Bungalows provide an extra dose of luxury, while still allowing you to experience the natural beauty that surrounds you.

Each Bungalow features beautiful minimalist decor with private decks and plenty of windows to give you stunning views of the red rock cliffs in the distance. You’ll also have a kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig Coffee maker perfect for enjoying a quick breakfast or a delicious post-hike snack.

There are several Bungalow options to choose from. Our Shooting Star 2-Bedroom Bungalow features a King-size bed as well as a LoveSac Sectional couch that converts into a Queen-size bed. The Paintbrush King Suite Bungalow features a single King size bed and a double swing facing out the large front window. In the Sego Lily King & Bunk Suite Bungalow, families enjoy a King-size bed and a Full-size bunk bed. Another great option for families is the Western Wallflower Double Queen Bungalow, which features two Queen-size beds.
