If you’re planning your first glamping tent adventure at Zion Wildflower Resort, you might be wondering what exactly should be on your packing list.
A traditional camping trip requires a lot of gear. You’ll need a tent, camp mats or air mattresses, sleeping bags and bedding, lanterns, flashlights, tarps, stoves—the list goes on and on. If you don’t already own it, purchasing this gear can be very expensive. Then, you have to get it to your camping destination. If you’re traveling cross-country, this will likely prevent you from flying, which means a lengthy road trip with an overloaded car. When you get to your destination, you’ll need to set up camp, and at the end of your adventure, break it all back down again.
But a stay in a glamping tent is very different. Not only is the tent provided for you—and already set up and outfitted when you arrive—but when you choose our luxury camp in Zion, you’ll also get most of the gear you need for your stay.
What’s Included in a Glamping Tent at Zion Wildflower?
One of the best things about booking a stay at our luxury camp in Zion is that almost everything you need for an incredible stay is provided for you.
Let’s start with the tent. At our resort, we offer two different glamping tent options; the Watchman Tent and the Grand Mesa Tents Zion.
The Watchman Tent is the smaller of the two glamping tent options at Zion Wildflower. Stepping inside one of these will likely change your entire view on what glamping tents are like. These luxurious tents make camping near Zion more like staying in a hotel, without sacrificing getting up-close and personal with nature.
Each Watchman Tent is equipped with plush beds on actual bed frames—no air mattresses or hard camp mats here! Other furniture includes real chairs and comfy poofs perfect for sitting on for a chat. Soft rugs help pad the real wood floor of the tent. But the comforts don’t stop there.
Your glamping tent is also equipped with outlet ports for charging devices, lanterns, heated blankets, cooling units, and string lights. On your private patio is a set of rocking chairs perfect for taking in a beautiful sunset.
Grand Mesa Tents
The Grand Mesa Tents are larger and offer an even more glamorous camping experience. While they might technically still be tents, in each glamping tent you’ll find multiple rooms with real walls, and even an en-suite, modern bathroom. You’ll still enjoy real furniture, plush beds, and soft rugs.
The Grand Mesa Tents have full electricity, and come equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Keep cool with full air conditioning, and warm up in the winter with heat. Your private patio has a dining table that’s great for enjoying a meal while taking in the views. And you can see that patio and those views through the glass French doors.
What to Pack for Your Glamping Tent Adventure
As you can see, almost everything you need for your adventure is included in your glamping tent! There’s no need to pack bedding, lights, fans, camp mats, or even lanterns for your stay.
Instead, all you’ll need to pack are your personal belongings. This includes your personal clothing, hiking boots, and toiletries. Soap and shampoo are provided in both the en-suite bathrooms in the Grand Mesa Tents, and in the luxury bath houses provided for guests of the Watchman Tents. Guests do need to bring towels for their stay.
A few extras that you won’t want to leave off your packing list is a swimsuit for enjoying our brand-new pool, warm clothes for curling up beside a campfire at night, and your camera to capture the stunning views while camping near Zion.
